In the mid-Eighties, Wireless World co-founder Dan Gardner cut his teeth in the wireless industry as an agent for Cingular Wireless (locally known as Genesee Telephone), adding the carrier to his successful home appliance service and repair business in Newark, NY. Transitioning in 1993 to electronics repair, Dan’s business grew to 18 retail locations around Rochester and Buffalo. By 1997, Dan joined forces with Timothy Oechsle and his company, Mobile1 Communications, a premier agent for Frontier Cellular (now Verizon Wireless), to re-name and introduce Wireless World exclusively as an authorized Verizon Wireless retailer.
A natural, "get it done" guy, Dan oversees the day-to-day functions of each Wireless World location to ensure continuity in practices and promotions.
